Before the meeting
  • Review the employee’s health disclosures or workplace challenges (if shared previously).

  • Set a suitable time and location for the meeting, ensuring privacy and comfort.

During the meeting
  • Start by reassuring the employee of support and confidentiality.

  • Collaboratively identify potential adjustments and solutions tailored to the employee’s symptoms (Checklist of support).

  • Provide information on available resources and encourage ongoing communication.
After the meeting
  • Document the agreed adjustments and share a copy with the employee (with their consent) (Checklist of support).
  • Communicate the necessary changes to HR or relevant departments to ensure proper implementation.
  • Schedule follow-up meetings to monitor the effectiveness of adjustments and address new concerns.
  • Actively promote a culture of empathy and inclusivity in the workplace regarding thyroid conditions.
